System Data, unpacked.

Your Mac says 286 GB is “System Data” and stops there. Kura names every gigabyte, tells you what's safe to clear, and shows you the exact command before anything runs.

System Data: 286 GB. That's all macOS tells you.

    You're not the only one.
Everyone's staring at a grey bar.

    Where it goes.
    Everything System Data hides.

Snapshots macOS forgot to delete. AI models you tried once. Docker images and Xcode leftovers. Kura finds each one, sizes it, and lays it out on your Mac.

And only on your Mac. There's no Kura server, no account, no upload.

    Shows its work

Every action comes with the exact Terminal command. Copy it and run it yourself if you'd rather.

    Trash first

Files go to the Trash, so Put Back works. Snapshots can't, so Kura asks twice and tells you what you lose.

    No scare tactics

No red warnings, no “junk found!” counters, no upsell pop-ups. Just what's there and what it does.

    Stays on your Mac

No account, no telemetry. File names and sizes never leave your machine.

    Or not at all.

The scan and every explanation are free, forever.

    Questions

    Is it safe?

Kura only removes what you pick. It shows the exact command first, and moves files to the Trash so Put Back works. Snapshots can't go to the Trash, so Kura asks a second time and tells you what you give up (for example, rolling back an update). Things macOS needs are marked Keep and can't be selected.

    Why not just use Terminal?

You can. Every command Kura runs is shown and copyable in the free version. The hard part is knowing what's in there and what's safe. That's what Kura does.

Why does it need Full Disk Access?

Most of System Data lives in folders macOS hides from apps by default. Kura only reads names and sizes, on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded.

Why isn't it on the Mac App Store?

App Store apps aren't allowed Full Disk Access or admin commands, so Kura couldn't see most of System Data. It'll be signed and notarized by Apple and sold directly.

How is this different from DaisyDisk or CleanMyMac?

DaisyDisk draws a great map of your whole disk. CleanMyMac is a big all-in-one suite. Kura does one job: it explains System Data line by line and shows its work.

    Which Macs does it support?

macOS 14 Sonoma through macOS 27, on Apple silicon and Intel where the OS still supports it.
